Grant and Loan Disbursement Dates (2025-2026)
Students who have submitted the FAFSA, CADAA, or other financial aid application and whose file is complete (outstanding documents have been submitted and reviewed, awards have been accepted, and the financial aid office has approved the student), will be eligible for disbursement as early as the beginning of the semester. In most cases, the student also must be in an eligible SAP status to receive a disbursement.
Most awards are split into two disbursements: the first at the beginning, and the second at the semester's midpoint. Some awards will be disbursed later than others, such as Cal Grant awards, Chafee, SEOG, Scholarships, and Americorps, to name a few. Please refer to your specific awards or ask a financial aid representative if you have questions.

Students who gain eligibility after the dates listed above will be scheduled for subsequent disbursement, generally within two to three weeks after eligibility is gained.

Deadlines
Financial aid is awarded all year round, with the priority deadline of March 2nd for each upcoming academic year. Some aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so it's always in the student's best interest to submit their FAFSA or CADAA by March 2nd before the next academic year.

June 30 - Last day to submit verification and supporting documents for the current academic year
September 2 - Secondary deadline for community college students to be considered for a Community College Competitive Cal Grant Award
