Get Cash for College - Apply for Financial Aid

Attend a Cash for College Workshop to receive help to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) and enter to win a $1000 scholarship.

The 2025-26 FAFSA and 2025-2026 CADAA will be available to the general public on December 1. The priority deadline to submit them is March 2, 2025.

First-year students attending full-time can get SRJC for Free!

The first two years of tuition are free. REGARDLESS OF INCOME. You must apply for financial aid to qualify.

At the Cash for College Workshop you will:

  • Get assistance with completing your FAFSA or CADAA
  • Get all your financial aid questions answered
  • Learn the financial aid lingo, important deadlines, and how to navigate the financial aid process

How to prepare before the workshop:

Gathering documents, you'll need ahead of time will make filling out the FAFSA or CADAA easier. Before getting all your documents together, click here to review a series of dependency questions to find out if you need to provide your parent's financial information on your application.

Below is a list of documents that will help you complete your financial aid application. Please note: Not all documents listed below will be applicable to you.

Students and parent(s):
  • Social Security Card or number
  • Driver's License or State ID
  • 2023 Federal Income Tax Return and W-2s
  • Any record of untaxed income such as welfare benefits, social security benefits, or child support payment
Students:
  • List of the schools you want to attend
Parents (if applicable):
  • Marital status and date of marriage, separation, divorced or was widowed
  • Date of birth

Los talleres de Cash for College provean a los estudiantes y sus familias la oportunidad de recibir ayuda para completar la Solicitud gratuita de ayuda federal para estudiantes (FAFSA) o la Solicitud de California Dream Act (CADAA).


EN EL TALLER DE CASH FOR COLLEGE USTED VA:

  • Obtener ayuda para completar su FAFSA o CADAA
  • Obtener respuesta a todas sus preguntas sobre la ayuda financiera
  • Aprender los pasos importantes y cómo navegar el proceso de la ayuda financiera

CÓMO PREPARARSE ANTES DEL TALLER:

Recolectar los documentos necesarios para facilitará el proceso de la solicitud de la FAFSA o CADAA. Antes de reunir todos los documentos, haga clic aquí para revisar una serie de preguntas sobre dependencia y averiguar si necesita proveer la información financiera de sus padres en su solicitud.
