Cash for College workshops are being scheduled. If you are a school or organization which would like to collaborate with SRJC to host a Cash for College Workshop, use our Outreach/Inreach Request Form. What is Cash for College?

Cash for College workshops provide students and their families an opportunity to receive help to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).


At the Cash for College Workshop you will:

  • Get assistance with completing your FAFSA or CADAA
  • Get all your financial aid questions answered
  • Learn the financial aid lingo, important deadlines, and how to navigate the financial aid process

How to prepare before the workshop:

Gathering documents you'll need ahead of time will make filling out the FAFSA or CADAA easier. Before getting all your documents together, click here to review a series of dependency questions to find out if you need to provide your parent's financial information on your application.

Below is a list of documents that will help you complete your financial aid application. Please note: Not all documents listed below will be applicable to you.

Students and parent(s):
  • Social Security Card or number
  • Driver's License or State ID
  • 2020 Federal Income Tax Return and W-2s
  • Any record of untaxed income such as welfare benefits, social security benefits, or child support payment
Students:
  • List of the schools you want to attend
Parents (if applicable):
  • Marital status and date of marriage, separation, divorced or was widowed
  • Date of birth

CÓMO PREPARARSE ANTES DEL TALLER:

Recolectar los documentos necesarios para facilitará el proceso de la solicitud de la FAFSA o CADAA. Antes de reunir todos los documentos, haga clic aquí para revisar una serie de preguntas sobre dependencia y averiguar si necesita proveer la información financiera de sus padres en su solicitud.
